Default Installed my JUN 4-2-1 Header (pics & review)

Well, I finally got around to installing the JUN header which replaced my DC JDM 4-1. It required a bit more trimming around the motor mount on the crossmember, but it wasn't too bad. The header gives me a lot more ground clearance. Here's some pics.

As far as performance goes, it made a huge difference. TONS MORE TORQUE over my old DC JDM 4-1 !!! And top end seemed to get better too. One more cool benefit is that it made my car sound a bit meaner. Not loud, just.......nice. I'm really happy with it. FUN, FUN, FUN!

Hey dan, got any more pics of your engine bay? It looks real clean and I need a base on how to clean up mine in terms of hoses, wires, and misc crap. Post em if you got them. TIA

What was wrong with your DC header? Can you go more in-depth on the differences between the two headers. I bought a dc jdm 4-1 s/s header for a B20vtec engine, and it feels just fine. I know it isn't the best setup for a b20 motor, but the price can't be beat.

I have a lot more pics of my engine bay, feel free to peruse my photopoint account.

http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=221789

The DC JDM 4-1 sits REALLY low on the G2 Integras. It was a problem for me. My car is dropped about 2.25" and the header only had 3.5" of ground clearance. And I am not exaggerating. I scraped it up pretty bad. No dents, just scraped a flat spot in it.

The reason I bought the DC in the first place is that I figured it was the best header for my money. I didn't have $900+ to drop on a header. It was the cheapest header with a 2.5" collector and DC quality. But then my friend traded me straight across, JUN for the DC, kind of a reward for helping him rebuild his newly acquired MR2 Turbo motor which took us two weeks.

So I installed it. I am much happier with the JUN. It's a 4-2-1 design and doesn't hang nearly as low as the DC JDM 4-1. Like I said before, the torque is amazing with this header and top end didn't seem to suffer at all. I really want to get this car on the dyno soon.

I believe the JUN header costs $900-$1000. But like I said above, I traded it straight across for my JDM DC 4-1. Basically I paid $300 for it, and put in some labor on an MR2. That's it! Thanks for the compliments. I'm loving the header.

I did not like the quality of the Dc header so I bought the JDM ITR instead. I also thought that a "true" 2.5" collector would be too big and would cause loss of low end torque. The JDM ITR header has a 2.375" collector ans I did not notice any loss of toeque anywhere!

it looks like the 1-2 and the 3-4 primaries are paired.. is there a purpose to that?

Why did this guy make his headlights black? That bumper is kinda too wild. Any way, my name is spelled the same way as his: (Brendan), and I got a G2, what a coincodince!
