Default Just drove 03' S2k, anyone else on here to tall for it?

I am 6' 5", this is the third time I have driven the car, and have decided that an S2k is probably to small for me, unless I were to put a different seat into it, and re-engineer some mounts for it. I can reach most everything but I cant move but about a half of and inch forward or back with the seat adjusted all the way back haha. I have to take my foot off of the gas pedal, and pull my leg back just to open the radio cover.

Anyone else in my height range own an S2k? And have you done anything to it to increase interior room.

Friend of mine had the same problem. Bought the car for his wife (of course intending for it to be his weekend toy) and discovered he was too big to be comfortable in. I'm about 6'5 myself, and had alot of trouble getting my knees under the steering wheel. He looked into somehow adding more room, but in the end wasnt worth it, so he sold it.

an aftermarket seat with rails will lower the seat by ~3"

Yeah I have had the same experience with building rails for a DC2 with a Sparco Sprint seat. Made the seat much lower in the vehicle.

I think if I get an S2k I will have to do that

I am 6'3" and I didn't have any problems. Much taller and I probably would. Width was more of a problem for me.

Don't you tall guys have trouble at stop lights? Where you can't see them because the windshield frame blocks you?

I have a problem with that, and it also didnt help that he had gauges mounted right there also, they were almost directly blocking my eyes haha.

Headroom isnt that bad, I have about an 1" - 1.5" with the hardtop on. I would like to drive it with the top down sometime,

I am 6'2. 2003 and older are kinda tight fit.

But I work for Honda, and had my first "beat the ****" run on an 04 s2k. The absolute FIRST thing I noticed, with the seat all the way back. I had probably 5 inches of extra space. Wish they had that in the 03's.

How about you tell me what dealership you work at so I can report it to the s2ki board to inform buyers of NOT buying a s2000 from your place?

I had trouble seeing lights too. Oh, and a helmet is a joke. There is no way I could wear my helmet in that car.

I am 6'6" - 215lbs (I am in excellent health/weight in regards to my height). The fit is snug. I have trouble reaching the mirror controls/window controls w/ the door shut. Getting in and out of the car is the hardest part for me, but once I am inside the vehicle I am fine. I have plenty of headroom as well even w/ the top up. I probably have a good five -or- six inches from the top of my head to the actual roof. My legs are about two inches from the dash, and I cannot fully extend my legs (in order to stretch).

I loved the car though ...I miss it terribly.

EDIT: I hope this was the type of answer you were looking for instead of: "I'm X'X" tall and Xlbs. and I fit."

My legs are crammed into the dash, and I only have about 1-2" of headroom.
Yeah getting in and out is somewhat of a task
