tien coilover vs. ground control coilover w/koni shocks?
tien true coilover basic = $670
ground control coilover = $330 + koni shocks = $520 (total $850)
which one is better and what are the benifits against one another?
this is just normal daily driving...
i just want to lower my ride and get a nice comfy ride...
thanks in advance
ps...how low tien coilover can be lower?

The Tien is a better product IMO. It has a double threaded perch and is very well built. There is a write-up on them in this this months GRM. Ground control makes some great products too. The GC should be fine for what you are using it for. You probably don't do much auto-x in your Accord and don't need a huge outlay of cash.

the basics would be your best bet for a comfy ride...they aren't very aggressive...

this is more of the accord racecar style suspension, for either auto-X or track...you'd be sorry you ever took this suspension on the street at full stiff and lowered aggressively...in my opinion if you get rates that are suited to match the accord's geometry, it wouldn't be a streetable setup...although this setup can be adjusted to a street style of condition due to the broad range of adjustability...
anyways, i still say for your purpose, get the teins..

Tein = Better Ride Comfort and less agressive handling compared to GC + Koni
GC + koni = Stiffer Ride and much more agressive handling then Tein Basics

I don't really care about ride quality. I want to know which one will give better handling and a stiffer spring rate? Also which will allow you drop your car lower??
IMO, if you would spend $850 for the ground control setup spend an extra $50 and get the tein SS. 16 way adjustable, I started out with Neuspeed/Tokico combo and then switched over to the TEIN SS and the handling is 10X better. Plus with the TEINs the spring and shock are tuned together, as opposed to 2 different companies. But that's just my $.02
I Own Both Tein Basics And A Koni SP3\H&R Race Setup. The Teins Are Great For A Comfortable Height Adjustable Ride. But Their Handling Characteristics Are Not What I Would Call "Aggressive". However, My Koni\Spring Combo Is Very Aggressive In The Handling Dept. I Love The Grip But Its Very Stiff VERY STIFF! I Just Switch Them Out For Track Days And For Cruisin Days!
