i just got in a EF8 rear bumper and it does not have a bumper support, but i also have another EF rear bumper in my garage, and it has a lip molded in the bumper like a lip.. im wondering if it might be a EF9.. any ideas?
i know, i know.. i'll have to get pics.

exactly.. i took pics of it.. but they're at home, and im at work, and haven't uploaded them yet.. right now i have 2 JDM rear bumpers.. the one that has CRX EF8 junkyard pen'ed on it, and the one thats blank.
but the blank one, is the one in question.. its "flared"
both of them look like they accept rear lips.. but these old beasts are 15 years old, and you just don't see them that often.

yea, they both have holes on the bottom to 'accept' a lip. if you compare a 90-91 crx bumper to a jdm crx bumper, they're the same thing.
edit: the two bumpers you have, are they the same? i mean the one that's pen'd EF8 and the blank one...

the CRX EF8 one look like USDM spec, other than missing the core support, but the unmarked one has that flared lip at the bottom.. i'll have to get pics.
its just soo hard, ive heard that there was 9 trim codes in japan in 1990 when they rolled the CRX onto the show room.. so who knows...?

first bumper
second bumper
now, the 1st bumper.. has wider, flater moldings, and a non flared lip..
the 2nd one has higher thinner moldings, and has that flared lip.. so im thinking one might be a ZC? but, they both have EF8 junkyard pen'ed in them, so maybe its one of those differences in years, or a diff. trim model? what do you guys think?

From what i've seen, the 88-89's had the fatter molding and the 90-91's had the thinner style.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've noticed comparing my friends 88 HF to my 90 DX and Si

i like the older one, cuz the molding are flusher, but i wish it had the flare at the bottom, it looks alot better.
The 88-89 JDM CRX bumpers is what I see all the time that people want. We have a few of them, just the skins, but they all don't have rear lower lip on them anymore (since everyone wants those), but if you look at the bottom of the bumper, you'll see holes and brackets there specifically for a rear lower lip to bolt up to.
