Default 00 civic si cd player in 96-98 civic?

Does anybody know the information on putting an amber SI cd player in 96-98 civics?

How well does the cd player fits into the 96-98 climate control/radio bezel?

I have a Sony cd player in right know, what special or oem honda adaptor will I need? is there a honda part number for it?

thanks

No you don't need the original wiring since I did this to my other Civic when some jackass broke in and stole it. I put my 99 Civic stock cd player (same with 00 Si) by using an aftermarket adapter that goes to the radio then another one that plugs to your stock wiring.

They are made by Scosche.

Here are the part numbers and search google where to buy. Goodluck.

model# HA02 for 96-98 Civics
model# HA08R for 99-00 Reverse connector for the oem 99-00 Honda CD player/radio

Oh I forgot to mention the fitment...It fits pretty snug to where you dont have to screw it in. Just push it as far as it will go (and as straight as you can) and you'll be set. I never screwed it in since I was going to replace it shortly (in which I did).
