the b16a1 isnt from europe, its from japan. well i mean it maybe from europe too but it does come from japan too

you can also look at the head and the intake mainfold, both should say p30, and again like the other guy said the ecu will be a p30 if its obd1.

He's talking about the block stamp genius. No JDM stamp says B16A1.

Look at your Dizzy Plugs... if they're grey, it's OBD1.

Look at the Intake Mani, if it has no sticker, it's OBD1.

Look at the valve cover. If VTEC is larger than DOHC, it's usually OBD1.

Just about all of those are good indicators.

No such motor

It's a b16a, no JDM motor has a number after the stamp.

USDM - b16a2
JDM - b16a

well yeah all jdm motors only say b16a or b18c but the obd0 pr3 b16 is usually referred to as the b16a1.

which that other guy brought up a good question, does the b16a from europe or germany or australia say b16a1 or just b16a ?

There were also OBD-I PR3's... rare, but they do exist.

there is but it is extremely rare.

99.999% of JDM motors have no number after the stamp.

CRXGATOR is right bro, the b16a is a jdm engine, and the b16a1 is a edm engine. Japan did not put sub numbers after the letter.

But, it makes it easy to read if someone says b16a1, because you know that they are refering to the obd1. Ryan
