Default clunking sound from front left wheel

for the longest time i've had this clunking sound coming from the front left wheel. i pretty much narrowed it down to the steering rack. i changed my tie rods and rack ends but it still clunks. i had the mechanics over here take a look at it and they say its normal, all the honda's they've worked on make the same sound, but i don't buy that.. is there a bushing inside the steering rack that i should change? it also clunks when i turn the wheel back and forth, even when the car isn't on

Mine does the same thing when I go over a pothole with sharp dips. I think the lower ball joint may need replacing; I've had the same problem on my other cars and fixed it with new lower ball joints.

I get this clunk sound when I'm driving normal and launching out of first...??? I also get it sometimes when I'm cruising down the road... if I let off the throttle for a second and press the throttle down again it'll make a clunk sound... sounds like something is moving around, but I don't know whats up...

i think your clicking comes from your axles. in my case, its probably from the steering rack. i changed my balljoints and lca's, still clunks. i had someone turn the steering wheel while i was holding the tie rod end ( detached from knuckle ) and i could feel the clunking. is there a bushing inside the rack that can be replaced?

this sounds like what Black R(I think it was him) was trying to diagnose on his car awhile back. Getting a "thunk" on and off throttle sometimes. Like theres play in the tranny or maybe the motor mounts are getting worn. I dont know what the outcome was though.
