Default Seperate classified forums?¿?

Ok guys i know alot of you prolly get bored in constantly bumping up your classified threads. I am hoping a mod will see this and not delete it but give a new idea to H-T. We have so many post on here for classifieds that a item i put up for sale 10 mins ago is already at the top of page 3. I think we should break off the classifieds into sections such as:

Interior
Exterior
Engine/transmission parts
Audio Equipment
Suspension and wheels

Just like it is in the sponsors forum. that way everyone wont have to bump there ad up 6x a day to get rid of there stuff. I hope everyone seems to agree with me if so please place ur vote on the poll.

Thanks alot guys
Jason

wouldnt people have to just create more threads for selling items they have? like for example they have wheels, suspension, audio and interior items also... and misc engine parts would kinda be the same, just my thought.

thats a good point. but seaching for those items would be much harder. for example. if your looking for ITR armrest. there are soo many threads with ITR parts in it. it would be better to have it in the interior forum than having to look through every single thread with ITR in it cause not everyone makes there titles blunt enough to what there selling.

More threads = better title descriptions.

I believe it'll sell faster and once you're done selling off all your stuff for that thread, just PM a moderator and *poof* have it disappear.

Streetracing.org does this but everyone still posts everything under the regular classifieds.

I really disagee with having a ton if specific forums for every little item. half the new people to the board can't even figure out to post cars in "vehicles for sale" what's it going to be like when they have 10 different classified forums to choose from? I think mods would wind up doing more babysitting and thread moving than they already have to.
The link in my sig, ef-honda.com, my friends run that site and have broken the classifieds up into "for sale" and "want to buy" I liked that idea and think it would be benefcial here, be cause I have a lot of spare junk that I see people asking for but have to do a search for "wtb" to find their threads. I think a separate forum for selling and for wanted would be good. any more broken down I think gets a little rediculous though. This isn't the first time a thread like this has come up though. I will try and locate the other and post up for some more opinions.

I just think we need to separate WTB with FS items.. dont mix it up as far as interior, exterior, engine.. all that crap thats a waste.

BUT separate WTB with FS.. thats good

The problem as I see it is that people can't manage to come up with a decent title.

Too many idiots typing "buy my ****" or "garage sale". For that matter, half of them can't even be bothered to get the post body right. No pictures, price, etc. Expecting this caliber of person to be able to deal with multiple forums is unrealistic... they'll just end up cross-posting the same add all over the place.

If not sub-classified sections, they should at least make a WTB and a FS!

It sucks selling stuff on here as many of you know. There is just way too much traffic with both WTB and FS going on at the same time. People need to start learning how to use the title better rather then just going "yO MAD PARTS FOR SALE!" Then again there are some fools who dont know whether they are selling or wanting to buy, and cant even type right so half of us dont even know what the heck they are looking for.

There definately needs to be change!

i think you should seperate the classified forums in areas such as california or norcal, but it wouldn't really matter but they should do that for the vehicles sectoin

i think it should at least be put into WB and FS sections. But i agree with the others that it might get a bit cluster fucked for some people that bundle all their **** together.

I think there should definately be seperate classified forums. Thats one of the things that makes this forum difficult to find what youre looking for. The classifieds move WAY to fast, and I think there needs to be a section for each of the following:

Engine and Drivetrain
Forced Induction (because theres alot more F/I parts compared to N/A)
Suspension/Wheels
Appearance
Stock Parts
Cars for sale
Miscellaneous
Wanted

This is very simalar to http://www.thepartstrader.com which is very easy to use, if people can't figure out how to sort what they have then oh well, dont' post until you do.

As far as people having to repost in multiple catagories, this is where it will end. If we create catagories, then there is no longer a need to clump everything up. You will make seperate threads for seperate items, or if you just have a junkload, put it in misc.

Audio equipment will also go in misc. this is Honda-Tech, not Honda-Audio.
____________

Also, the search tool needs to be reconfigured SEVERELY. You should be able to search for a keyword AND define which forum/catagory you want to look in. When I do a search, and i select a forum, it doesn't matter, it just throws all of them at me, and it weakens the search. When searching in post bodies you should also be able to select which catagory/forum you wish to look in. Its rediculous when you search for coil-overs, and you get millions of threads with people asking questions about this and that, and you are only trying to look at for sale items.

I think when the Sponsor's Classified section was created it was pointed in the right direction by splitting up categories. I hope to see the rest of the forum catch up, and get a fresh reorganization.

I think we can just put 1 section to sell stuff and 1 section to buy stuff

"For Sale" and "Want to Buy"

just like in the sponsors forums. i just have no idea why they havent done anything about it. this is the forum that gets most post everyday out of all them.
i spend alot of time in here. and i sometimes miss some good deals because this forum moves way to fast. in less than 5-10 mins your post its already on the 2 page
