Hrmm, i wouldn't pay much more than 2 grand for an 88 crx, it's just too damn old! And what about the suspension? Could he cut you a deal to junk the rims? The seats look ghetto to me, that should depreciate the value too.

And the engine, it wouldn't be much more than 2 grand, right?

If you look on recycler, you'll notice that most fixed up cars will go for less than their stock-counterparts. Nobody wants a car that's been messed with.

I wouldn't have any other 2g. Lighter, no crappy door seat belts, ITR rear LCA's. As far as age goes a 91 is basicly just as old in my book.

Those seats are recovered so , but the logo .
I dig those wheels though, swap looks like it's missing some emissions stuff on the firewall, but it might just be hanging down a lil.
Is it just me, or does that swap look kinda quickly done, I don't wanna say ghetto, but just thrown in there?
I'd give $3200 for it.

3000-3200
is a good offer. Check under the side moldings, rust loves to play in the where water might have seeped in... Looks clean otherwise...

having no A/C is no problem. who needs that anyway...just sucks up more gas.

about the car...

looks like a great car doesn't seem to be rigged, but i'm always warry with buying someones elses car and even more so when there is a motorswap involved. the seats are nice looking since its re-wrapped, but the logo is kinda iffy oh well who cares. the rims look nice although the drop is pretty low...springs or coils? and the tires look to be pretty fresh from the rear pics you took.

check to see how much tread is on the front... that will give you a small indication if this kid beat the snot out of the motor or not. also ask if he/she used performance struts for the lowering kit and if he/she used a camber kit...just things you can pick off to work the price down. that how you have to do it.

best bet if you don't know exactly what you looking at is to take it to a shop that performs swaps and see if it was done the right way...no rigs. then if it checks out make an offer.

i would make an offer for around $3000+ if everything works out right.

well its an OBD-1-2 swap so thats pretty cool in my book, it also might mean that the motor is a second gen B16

Drive it and see if it has any cel's....if it does I would consider how it drove...and how long he has drove with the cel on?

Your pretty good at looking into the future huh???
Dont even know if you are going to get the car, and making all these plans for it...
Personally I think that the price is a little to high

Yeah they do, its because all you see is wanna be racers that gut just the back half out. Uh 15-20 lbs of rear interior really ain't gonna make you any faster

Actually, it will make you faster! I think that works out to .0003452 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile.

90% of the Si's that I've seen that haven't been garage kept leak when it rains, and that means the all the crap in the back is moldy and smelly. That's why I ripped mine out. Since this one looks pristine, I'd say that's a pretty good indication that it's been well cared for.
