Default HELP finding muffler to quiet exhuast!!!

My GF was driving the R today and we got pulled over for having too loud of exhuast, EVEN THOUGH you see loud *** TRUCKS and P.O.S. cars that are straight piped all over the place, he decides to pull us over and give us a ''warning'' and tells me to do something about it.

So now I am lookin for opinions on just an axleback system I can use or even just the muffler to help quiet it down a bit, but not hurt my performance as well. Or even if I can trade somebody axlebacks or something, Thanks

My Exhuast setup= JDM ITR 4-1 Header, Test Pipe, Tanabe Racing Medallion Cat Back Exhuast.....and YES I know the Test Pipe has something to do with it, but still haha I wanna find a way around not takin it off...Thanks

Bump... same question. Racing Medallion too loud, me no likey anymore. I've been running the silencer for 5 years, taking it off on the track and getting my coding hands all dirty.

Looking for a quieter/cheap axleback. Thinking about having an exhaust shop cut something together. Maybe a thermal exhaust. I kinda liked the sound of Dynomax mufflers on my wife's old car.

test pipe is the main problem.

You're lucky that he didnt smell or check your catalytic. Someone can correct me on how much the fine is but running without a catalytic is a very hefty offense (quadruple figure fine).

Obviously running a test pipe and a straight through exhaust is going to be loud. I cant even imagine how loud your car is.

You're so crazy! I threw mine in the trash years ago, before Honda-tech classifieds.

Actually I was looking at a used RSR muffler. Seems to be the quiet one of the bunch. I might just go get some chambered muffler welded on.

Mine is similar But with SMSP bottleneck adapter on stock b-pipe with stock muffler.

I think with this setup my car has the right blend of power and quiet to be considered streetable and non-cop attracting.

i had the Tanabe Racing Medallion on my GSR

VERY loud exhaust!

and sounds like total *** with the silencer in

my suggestion, get a real exhaust and replace test pipe with something legal, like a racing cat

haha this was brought from the dead with someone with the same problem as me... but i guess my problem is pretty much settled....

i'm boosted now, even though i'm only running 2 1/2'' downpipe and a 2 1/2'' manderal bent B-Pipe with a resonator its pretty quiet until full boost..

but i'll be purchasing a turbo muffler from Kteller.com, maybe some of you will like the muffler i plan on buying and fitting to an axleback... and i'm sure its pretty quiet, but this is the one i plan on getting

I have a JDM 4-1 header, 2.5" test-pipe and a Mugen Twin Loop cat-back.. It sounds barely louder than OEM but much deeper which I like. I checked out someone who is running the same setup but instead of the Mugen B-pipe, he has a custom 2.5" pipe with a resonator and it sounds pretty much like the Mugen setup but with more power up top..

Mix'n match is da way !! Excuse me while I go put my flame suit on

Nice and quiet.
You pay $25K for it... and it comes with a car.
