I am this much closer to locating the original owner to my R. All I want is the production number and maybe some history.
If this is you please reply.
The car was sold at Mike Harvey Acura in Burlingame. It was purchased in 98 of course, and it was sold with about 13 miles. Looks like the car was never lowered since it still has factory suspension. The car has Honda care warranty. I'm assuming it's a theft recovery since I got it stripped, but it has a clean title and was a lien sale vehicle from city tow S.F.

You might get some info by taking your VIN (and proof of ownership) to an Acura dealer and have them punch it into the computer in the service dept.
They won't be able to tell you the production number, but may be able to supply some service history, original owner, etc.
Best of luck in your search.

yes the 5 lug is gone. what i meant was the stock shocks and springs.
i did a vin check with elk grove acura, they were the one that told me it was sold at mike harvey with 13 miles and they also told me it is still under honda care waranty. it expires in 2005 or 100,000 miles.

Since it is still under the warrenty you can probably get alot of stuff replaced for free. You can't get like a new suspension or anything but you can get new seat covers, armrest, clock, radio and some other things like that.

this is why i need to locate the original owner. the service contract is under his name. for a fee i could get it tranfer under my name, but he needs to notify the company.

Wait, this car was a salvage?
Or a total loss?
Wondering how it could be a theft recovery and not be either of the aforementioned.
At any rate, I'd doubt very seriously that Any Acura dealer would honor it's extended warrenty regardless.
Best of luck.

whatever happened to it, it was never reported. for all acura know this car still in good condition. they (acura) were the one that told me its still under waranty.
the car is clean tittle by the way. part of the reason i would like to contact the owner. i would like to know what happened to it.
