first off that bar is made for the jdm model chassis that comes with the bseries motors in it, and even then it is pretty close to the tranny.

with our sohc cars with the custom motor mounts and un-factory engine mounting. makes it damn near impossible for that bar to work..

i just notched out the bolt holes about 3mm on each side and ground a bit on the tranny now i have at least 3-4mm of clearance without hindering the performance of the bar

if i had a camera id take pics but i dont, so ill just install it

I was 3" off the ground measuring at the jackseams on the side of the car. The Cusco bar 1-1/2" off the ground.

Surface street resurfacing = exposed manhole covers.

Man hole cover + my car moving at 35 + Cusco bar = KABLAM!!!! Nothing broke, but car slowed down to 25 without me ever touching the brakes.

You're supposed to go around manhole covers not over them! I've held up traffic just to slow down and go around them safely.

Yeah, mine sits a little low too....

I've had it slow me down when it drags, I hate that feeling. You can feel the aluminum being chewed up.

Obviously some of you are installing this bar for the perpose of better handling. Lowering your cars too low can have a negative affect on your cars handling.

aaaah memories... mine was less than 2" off the ground as well... but never had clearance issues (the good thing about driving a euro siR huh)...

Phan had clearance issues as well with the cusco... I guess the thing wasn't meant for b16 swaps hanging low in the bay, as the mounts cause...

@rex vt... do you still think it will fit your car, now the b18 is in? and if so, you still want the cusco? Else I'll just put it under my new car...

I think it will Bart cuz the B18 is higher instead of lower and has the original B-serie mounting. B16 swaps in EDs hang lower

Depends on the price :D
