So no additional sealant is needed? Torque it in a "X" pattern correct?

make sure when taking the old gasket off .. you get the metal ring that is around one of the studs next to the tranny. It tends to rip out of the gasket when you pull it off and stay on there... it must be removed
Your only main concern should be not to over torque the bolts. Take off any traces of the old gasket and sealants from theoil pan. If the oil pan is a little hard to take off dont fry it off. Start in the middle bolts and work your way out in a spiral or X pattern.
good luck.
good luck.

Open up the gasket & lay it out flat for a day or 2. That way when you're putting the pan back onto the engine, the gasket isn't trying to curl up...
first of all keep a heat torch handy
some of the screws tend to break off and you dont want
that right....
after removing pan make sure that everything is cleaned
you dont want no leaks or scratches so a nice fine grit
sand paper would be nice...
when installing the gasket start from the center in an x
form for best results and lightly in.
then tighten to spec torque but if you over torque the gasket will tend to pop
out or bolts will break......

I did that...it leaked(actually probably still is). Anyway, youre suppose to go CCW around the pan and not in a X pattern.
