Default **help**crower cam question for people who have them

Has anyone put these on their car h22 motor and had put crower roller rockers? I had them installed on the car and vtec would not engage it would almost shut off like there was a rev limiter. The shop who did the work called crower and they told him i need the roller rockers, i wana know has anyone else who has them needed to install new crower roller rockers?

what stage are your cams, i have heard that you need to grind down the rockers on some cams cant remember which ones but that could be the problem

Anything beyond Crower Stage 2 cams, you will need to modify your rocker arms. Follow my link to my previous post regarding this issue.

I hope you didn't do much damage to your valve spring retainers/rocker arms, since you already ran the engine.

Good luck.

if ur gonna get roller rockers, then you wont have vtec, cuz the only roller rockers i've seen for the h22 are vtec eliminators

I know this question is about the crower cams....but I'm wondering if all the aftermarket cams will make you do the same thing, like skunk2?

I been thinking about getting a whole valvetrain so I kinda want to know what I'll have to do to get them to work and without eliminating VTEC like (Eddiebx) said.....

are yours running fine and does your vtec engage without problems? If it does i dont see no need why you would have to worry, im worried cause i cant even engage so im sure mine are a must in order for mine to work correctly

woah, your cams are not suposed to hit your springs or retainers. I think you misunderstood yourself
