Hey friends i have a small question my accord 97 is idling like from .5 to 2 rpms everytime i run mine car to high rpms like 6 rpms, but if i drived it normal it won't do that. i already changed the tps sensor and it is still doing it. do you know what else could it be, may be you had this problem before. i tryed with another map sensor and is still doing it. so i put the old one back.

 

Uh, I'm guessing that you're trying to say that you have a really low idle.

Have you tried looking for an "idle adjustment screw"?

sounds more like a fluctuating idle you know? iu dont remember which sensor, but when my friend and i were checkin out his hatchs engine after installing it and started it up it would idle from around 500 to 2000 the whole time without stopping... and the culprit was a sensor on the intake manifold. like iatb or something like that.... someone will know and chime in sooner or later...

 

most likely it is your idle air control valve, if it is doing it only when the engine is cold it is your fast idle valve.
