can anyone tell me the general process ... do i need to take the door panel of as a whole? im just installing type r panels on my ls ... just the insert piece , not the whole door piece. thanks

no thats all there is to it, u have to take the whole thing off... its easy.... 3 screws and then pull on it at the bottom... just clips after u take the screws out.. take 2 mins to take one off

more detailed.

1. take the screw out at the change holder thingy..aka the cup u use to close ur door form the inside

2. take the screw out where the indide door handle is... get a flat head to undo the little flap...

3. take the screw out on actuall door panel... its more of a palstic screw( be carefull not to mess it up)

4 tug on the bottom part... its clipped on so just give it some power.

then it should all come off in one big peice..

 

not sure how u install inserts when the door panel is one whole piece. i would like to know how its done

 

k i took the whole door panel off ... all i need to do is to take out the atual samll insert of carpet material ... if u look behind the whole door panel its all one piece .. does this insert not come out ???? when u guy talk about getting new door panel for ls and rs do u get the whole new door panel or just replace the inserts ??? im confused thanks

The insert isn't removable. You'll need to just peel the carpet off and then replace it with whatever you deem necessary.
