WTF???
So i was installing my new bronze 15x7 rota and when i was tighting the bolt, One of the stick on the passenger side where i was tighting the lug nut break. So i only have 3 tighting on the passenger side now. Is there any way i can fixed this myself of i have to go to a shop and get it done? approx. how much would it cost???
They really don't cost much at all. Suggestion is to let the shop do it for you if you are not familiar with those parts. You'll probably spend between 20 - 40 bux.
3/4 lugs is not safe. i work in a wheel/tire shop and replace studs all the time. go to a shop if youre not familar w/ the replacement, which youre probably not since you broke the stud. no offense.
drive directly to the shop if its close. id drive as little as possible till you get that fixed.
also, make sure to get a new lug for the new stud.
another tip: hand tighten all the lugs evenly before using a lug wrench. if one feels like its going on wrong, dont force it. take it off, and start again. or youll break studs, or strip studs or lugs.
torque your lugs to 80 lb/ft
just trying to help w/ some of the small knowlege i have
