Default Ebay Cold Air Intake

I am interested in getting a cold air intake on my 2000 accord but I want to do this on a budget. On ebay, it looks to me like some of the 'cold air intake kits' might be short ram kits. Any one have any ideas if they are selling what they say or other places to look to get one at a decent price?

they are worth it if you are on a budget... just make sure you replace it with a k&n filter 25-35$'s at most auto stores,,, most those filters that come along with em are paper thin and cheap and do poor jobs in "filtering"...

I picked up a short ram off eBay and I'm quite pleased with it; came with a filter and everything. Granted, I didn't use the supplied filter, since I already had a K&N, but the intake worked great. Nice, shiny cheap plastic.

how much of a difference in preformance to you get form short ram vs cold air? And I assume either one is much better than stock air filter.

you wont really feel anything if all you have are basic bolt on's, if you have crappy weather rain+snow occasionally get the short ram...if you have perect weather mainly like florida cali, then go for the coild air... but if you have the ebay cai's they usually supply a elbow, so you have the advantage of having a short ram + cold air anytime you wish...

if you buy aem, ur paying for the carb e.o. sticker. a pipe is just a pipe. aem uses it's name to prove that there are horsepower gains (i.e. 5hp) but overall, the only thing that is noticed is the sound, get the pipe and buy a k&n filter. it will do the same as the aem. the only thing your missing out on is the aem license plate frame.
