Default DIY gauge/accesory mounting tips here *pics*

Some tips that I have learned along the way when installing, gauges, controllers, etc. By no means am I an expert but heres a few tips that work for me.
I recently removed my Vafc and installed a new toy, MSBC-1.
Here's where the VAFC was installed before in the center console.

Take the piece of plastic or whatever your cutting into and cover it with masking tape (allows you to trace on it better).

Templates are a big help. I was lucky enough to use the old one from my VAFC. Trace around the object you are going to mount. Cut with a razor knife and steel straight edge. If your cutting circles for gauges hole saws work well.

Hot glue is awesome for mounting. If your cuts aren't that good though and your mounting with a black setting, use weatherstrip adhesive.

Not perfect but I'm happy with it

The vafc one has 4 other holes drilled in it from previous switches and led's. The plastic should be available in 12x12" sheets at local audio shops.
