Tranny grinds in first gear, NEED HELP!!!
Well, I searched and couldn't find a good answer.
I have a b16 tranny, exedy clutch, itr flywheel. it's a new clutch and good flywheel.
In my driveway. 3 times now I've had the clutch all the way in, and I've put it in first and the gear grinds, nothing too hard, just like it nicked the gear. (i.e the kinda grind it does when you put it in reverse) it was regular idle, car was still, clutch all the way in.
I have a crappy short throw, and it's rubbing on my exhaust. could this be my problem? planning on a Skunk 2 short throw, and re-routing my exhaust.
Also, even with the exhaust out of the way, when I move the shifter side to side in the nuetral position, it seems like it's catching on something, though I know there's nothing under the shifter, bent linkage or something?
I dunno I'm kinda confused about it all. any help would be great.
