ok i did the mpfi swap now my car will not start. Its now getting spark, its also getting fuel. i have code 10. if anyone has any ideas please help.

IAT Sensor (Intake Air Temperature) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

 

would that sensor make it not run. also do you know where that one is located

 

Its on the right side near the bottom in the back area facing the side looking at it from the front. Don't you got a helms?

Isn't that green plug (which is unused in the picture above) suppose to plug into the EACV? And the white one that is in the EACV in the pic should be the leftover tandem vavle plug right?

 

From a DX wire harness yes I believe so, thats what I did but extened the eacv. Thats a ZC so may be he is using a different harness all together?

 

what's wrong with his TPS sensor????

It might be plugged in, but it could be faulty. Try turning the car on, then unplugging it and see if it makes a difference.

 

his tps sensor is on backwards

the iat sensor wires should be red/yel and grn/wht

and the eacv wires should be blu/yel and black

 

all my wiring is right ive checked it 4 times. the car run perfect when the manifold was taken off. so i dont believe its the tps.

 

no not your tps, in the pic the tps looks funny because its on backwards

 

pull the hazard fuse for 10 sec to reset any codes, then try and start it again, if you still get the code then take off iat plug,

measure the volts between the red/yel and body ground, there should be 5 volts

measure the volts between the red/yel and grn/wht, there should be 5 volts.

if you passed everything, not its either the sensor or the ecu, so now

measure the resistance between the 2 terminals on the sensor itself, there should be 1-4 ohms. if you pass this test then its probably yoru ecu, replace with a known good ecu

 

just got back from the shop, found out that all four of my injectors are bad. i took the fuel rail off and no gas game out of injector. so i then can 12volts to injector and i get nothing. does anyone know what would cause all four injectors go bad. im using a resistor, but the first time i wired in the injectors i had the two wires crossed could this cause my injectors to fry. thanks for the help
