Default any problems with crxs?

Im looking at buying a crx and not sure what to look for as far as problem spots other than the rusty floor. Are there any real problems besides that?

Edit: thanks guys the car ened up being a bust the guy said it was mint condition. when i went to look at it he said that there was a problem with the tranny but not to worry. he wanted $4000. Im gonna keep looking though.

At the back of the rear wheel it normally develops rust, just look around the rear wheel wells and also look where the spare tire is. Check it for water down in the spare tire well.

Rust applies to all cars not just hondas. If you live up North then you'll get it. I have a 87 with no rust at all. But my 88 came from CO and its got decent rust in the wheel wells.

check behind the rear bumper, that collects alot of rust, shake it a bit, just to make sure it doesnt fall off!

I agree with the above posts--rust happens a lot on the older cars/Crxes.

The other thing to look for, since it looks like you're up north, are leaks from rainwater. Leaks aren't as bad as rust but it can lead to unpleasant smells and could add to your rust problem if it leaks over bare metal. Check your taillight gaskets, sunroof tubes if you're getting an Si, and hatch area.

Only problem I have is not being able to find a good deal like some of these guys have. That $800 one was just insane.

Problems with CRX's: [All due to the fact that CRX's are old cars]

Poor interior cloth quality.
Noisey/Squeaky hatch
Small engine bays (makes swaps more of a pain in the ***)
DX's are DPFI which adds a little effort.
There were no VTEC CRX's so you have to get creative with a VTEC swap or shell out the cash for a PR3 or PW0 ECU.
Si's with Power Sunroof commonly has problems & rust.
Rear half of the car generally has rust issues.

Thats the most general list I can think of.
