How do i use a throttle body cleaner?

 

Step #1: Pop top
Step #2: Position spray nozzle away from your face
Step #3: Push down on the nozzle
Step #4: OMG dont do it on the car because you'll spray the nasty crap you're trying to clean out straight into the engine.

 

take off intake
with car off spray for 10 sec against butterfly
turn car on
move the butterfly manually as you spray in 10 sec incriments
use whole bottle

these are directions straight off my gumout throttle body cleaner can
but dont take my word for it

 

get the one for fuel injected motors. take off the intake. spray it all over the butterfly... put the straw on the can, and spray it past the butterfly while opening the throttle. you must keep the engine at high throttle to prevent it from stalling out. its easier done with a friend who can maintain the throttle from the accelerator. dont worry about getting all that black sut substance int he motor, the spray will make it combust out of your motor. look into seafoam also.
search on honda-tech. i seen someone have a DIY for seafoam.. it seems like it cleans with all that smoke it generates.
