Default Del sol tranny.....please help

i got a 93 del sol si, sohc vtec 1.6, 5 speed, i was wondering if i can drop a 1.6 99 civic Lx tranny in, its 5 speed also...even if the HP was different...if it does fit, would the gear ratio be a big difference....please help..

Gear ratio would be a HUGE difference. You'd kill any and all performance that the Z6 has.
What is wrong with the stock tranny?

Gear Ratios
93 si........99 lx
1st 3.250.....3.250
2nd 1.900......1.761
3rd 1.250......1.176
4th .909.......909
5th .750.......702
FD 4.250.......3.772 but I think the LX's got 4.058, not sure.

I have done this my self with a DX tranny . It is the same bolt up as your tranny. The housing looks different like it is cut more for weight. if the LX and DX trannys are the same then the gears fell long as h3ll, i like it because i Auto X alot so it helps me not have to change gears as much.
