Mini me problems Please help!!!!!!!!
ok let me start with the problem i belive the timing in my engine is off timing belt mark on cover does not line up with red line on pulley, my distributor will not turn far enough to correct the timing!!!!! ( i know which mark it should line up to) but the car runs ok...... i guess!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

your car will run weird if the ignition timing is off and your motor would be trash if u let it run without it being timed with the timing marks lined up. 2 different things.
well i do not know what to tell you guys, i know the timing is off and is only pushing 130 pounds of compression per cylinder, is that normal??????
speak in normal english. First you say the timing is off, then you say the timing isn't off. Then you say it is off again. Put whole sentences together in 1 post and tell us your problem, then we can help you ALOT easier
ok yes, the ignition timing is off my and my buddy and I checked it with a timing light, and if i had to guess its about 5 to 7 degrees off we tryed to fix it but since i had to "custom mount" my distributor to the z6 head it will not rotate far enough to fix the timing, plus i am only getting 130 pounds of pressure per Cylinder.
how should i fix my timing????
and is the compression too low?????

First off, I assume you are using the A6 distributor correct? If so, do not attempt to try and mount it to where it is similar to the Z6 distributor's positioning. Set it the same as you would on the A6 head. Next thing you should do is check to see that your head is in time with the bottom end. You will most likely need to remove the crank pulley and check the timing belt pulley. Make sure that the bottom end is at TDC and the head is set how it should be at TDC. It might be a bit tedious, but if you want your car to run right. Also, 130psi per cylinder sounds a bit on the low side. How many miles is on the A6 bottom?
i am not really sure how many miles on the block but will the timing being off bring down my compression????? and How should i mount the distributor???? i dont want to drill holes on the head????? what is a safe way, and also for my timing being off the car runs pretty good!!!
You will have to enlarge the top mounting hole. Only one bolt will be used to hold the distributor on. You could also try and fabricate a bracket for the bottom front leg. Here is how I did it on my car:

I have a similar issue with my mini-me, which I suspect is the timing belt being off by a tooth.

That would be the bottom front leg of the distributor. That is how I rigged it so that I could have 2 bolts holding in the distributor. I cut off the bottom front leg of the A6 distributor, cut a piece of aluminum L-bracket, drilled a couple holes in the distributor and the aluminum and a larger hole for the mounting bolt. It's ugly and ghetto, but it does the job. I'm working on something a little prettier. Don't mind the 2 small holes on the bottom, a small drilling error. If you don't want to do this, you don't need to. It just gives me peace of mind. 1 bolt will hold the distributor fine.
I know with the z6 head on a b2 block the timing belt won't line up.. Its 4.5 degrees off..
I dont know if this is true for you a6 block..

dude your cylinder compression should be between 160-130psi, 185 should be the highest and 128 or 125 psi should be the lowest. it is also normal to get different compression readings in each cylinder, but is ideal to have it around the same number. And your timing shouldnt affect your compression.

no i m in the process of buying one but my ignition timing is what is messed up, also about the compression maybe i am not measuring it right ??????
