Another One Bites the Dust!
So I wake up this morning and notice that my beloved 2000 ITR is missing! I just moved to Denver, CO and live in a fairly safe neighborhood and can't believe it! If anyone sees a black ITR with California plates in CO let me know!

Does anyone know if State Farm Insurance is going to reimburse me for things that were inside my car such as Golf Clubs, car stereo, clothes and shoes, etc... I was also curious what everyone else was getting from their insurance for stolen ITR's? I "HAD" a 2000 ITR with 71,000 miles on it, any guesses as to how much State Farm is going to give me assuming I get NOTHING for my stereo and everything else inside my car?
Thanks for your support and help!

State farm will give you a form and that they will ask you to fill out, in the form they ask if you had any personal belongings in the car, and if so what were they and approx. cost. Also if you have any recipts for the items that were in the car they will request that you fax that over to them as well. They dont always cover 100% of the price, but they will take care of more than half of it.
Also if the price you are offered at first does not make you happy you can fight it. Usually what state farm will do is low ball you like no tomorrow, (i have experience w/ them). There are people you can get in touch with and they take it upon themselves to make a portoflio about your car, a nice legal proposal and they will attempt to raise the offered price.
good luck w/ the R........

my 00Si got stolen last june and I had $5000 worth of stero my cell phone my wallet and a $400 pair of ruby juliets sunglasses in there.
my interior deductable was $500 and I had no receipts as I tossed them about a month earlier I had the system in the car for three years already. they gave me nothing for the stereo with no receipts no good. they did pay off the car(which I owed about $13,000 at the time and game me $1000 cash thats it.
good luck with it. find out your deductable.

Didn't drive the car today since parking it Friday night.
After seeing another of these posts I had to go out and check to make sure it was still there ...
Hope things go smoothly with the insurance. Ed

sorry never really thought about that, believe it or not I was actually trying to help! If one of the administrators from the board would delete any mention of the other ITR in the Post that would be much appreciated.

you can go edit your own post.
Go knock on the guys door and give him a heads up. If he some how doesn't understand why he should worry explain to him how and why they're stolen.

Sorry to hear this. I just wonder if my R will be due again soon.
Seriously, if I knew that this was such a big problem, I wouldn't have bought it. It's a wicked car, but too much worry.

when my civic was stolen i had about 3600$ worth of things inside the car. my insurance maxed out the "possesions" part at 1000$ leaving me with 2600$ i was going to have to swallow. i decided to try to get it out of my home owners insurance. i made the clame and got another 1600$ from them
just an idea

have fun with them.. just a warning, it will probably take a month or so to get it resolved with them.. and that's if they find it soon!
they will indeed lowball you.. just keep reinforcing that the car is worth more than that and show them why (FS ads, autotrader, etc).. I eventually got nearly what I expected..
