Default Installed my SFI rollbar padding

Easter Sunday, nothing's open, it's a beautiful day in Ontario what better time to install the SFI padding I picked up for the cage early last week.

SFI padding is much harder and safer than the foam padding I'm replacing.

Here's a couple of pics...

Sporting my Goodfellas Joe Pesci knife to cut the padding to length haha

Putting the finishing touches of black zip ties.

PS. Thanks to Chris93si for the SFI padding idea.

what was the reason for putting padding behind the seat? my seat just about touches the bar, so i cant put padding there. i mean, i could, but i figure i wouldnt need it there.

but i know i gotta put some at the head area and the leg area

you don't have to but why not pad it?
better than having just bare metal bc you never know

I'll take more pictures BlueR.

1GreyTeg, that was an unfinished stage. The zip ties are now trimmed.

Thanks all for the compliments.

The padding is not only around the harness bar. It is also on the top part of the hoop and the triangular area around the driver's head.

The padding is black in color not purple. It must be the morning light? Or the camera's sensor.

For a 3 foot piece of SFI padding the cost was $26 CDN

Goodfellas is tad bit too violent for my tastes, it's not a classic in my books. It pales in comparision to Scarface.

The rollbar was custom made at CSC Racing, http://www.cscracing.com

Padding was also bought at CSC Racing. I believe they do mail order. However it's probably in your best interest to look for an online US retailer. ie Summit Racing.

I see what you're saying now. I'm currently using OEM belts.
