Car Wont start...searched already
I just swapped in another B18C1 into my car. It came out of my friends 99 GSR after he totaled it. The motor was running prefectly fine in is his and had no problems what so ever.
Now, when I swapped it into my car, It WOULD START SOMETIMES but then died out after I drove it. After it died, it takes forever to start back up. I would sit there for a few minutes turning over the engine and nothing and then finally it starts back up.
I've changed everythign I could think of. Swapped out the whole wiring harness to a 99 GSR harness, swapped ECUs with my brother (p28s), changed distributors, changed the map sensor, pulled out the ACT lighten flywheel, checked the injectors to see make sure they were not clogged and spraying a nice mist, checked the timing with a timing gun and check the timing with the plastics and cam gears. Almost everhting i could think of. I have fuel pressure and the fuel pump turns on.
HELP!
TIA

anyone??
here are some pix
the motor with everything wired up

all the grounds on the harness should be ground here since its a 99 GSR harness right? and the only other two grounds are the valve cover and tranny right?

Umm I checked the timing on the cam gears and with a timing gun but the distributor looks advanced/retarted (wat is it?)

got fuel pressure (it was sitting for a while before i took the pic, its set at 42)

Also, wats the extra plug on the 99 GSR harness?? it doesnt plug up to anything

Ok I know this probably sounds pretty dumb, but i have had the exact same problem w/ my h22 in my EG chassis.
I dont know if you have a fuel cut switch, but if you do that could easily be the problem.
The thing is, mine had a little faulty wire somewhere in the switch and it would cut the car off while driving it every now and then.
I really recomend you take out ur fuel cut switch and connect the wires how they should be just to be on the safe side.
And if you dont have a fuel cut switch, the problem really sounds like it is due to wiring to me... but thats just my .02

i was gonna say distributor but then u said u swapped it out. because my cousins gsr did that and his ignitor was fucked. and it would die out when it gets hot. and when it cools back down after a while it'll start back up again. i dont know that just seems really odd
