i have a 93 ex civic with a 95 gsr motor in it i was told that the motor requries a knock sensor but i dont have 1 wired up yet but my car engine light comes on and if i try to do a burn out the car bascially dies down then comes back
i need help asap

 

without a knock sensor I believe the engine goes into limp mode with no vtec and much lower redline...

 

the car was running fine for a long time but know it is limp mode cause of the knock not being connected

 

check codes get it tuned
