Hey, I want to get a type R but do not have the cash to afford one....Was wondering if ts possible to get a old but in good body condition LS and drop a B18C5 into it with tanny and all? Would this work?, if so how much would something like this cost?

 

Yes it would work, but it would never truly be an ITR. Too many "little" differences.

 

it will work, cost should be roughly:

$4,200-$5,500 - for an ITR swap(depending on condition/miles/year/etc.)

You could always just look for an ITR shell such as a theft recovery and rebuild it.

if you want power over anything else yet still want to keep a DC2, maybe an RS DC2 integra would be better. It's a bit lighter and is usually cheaper.

 

IF you are looking for power. just buy the LS and use the 5000 and turbo it.

 

dont want to deal with turbos....to many problems

 

get the ls then put a vtec head on it...
