a/f ratio and engine idle
ok i have an autometer a/f gauge. Now i know that this gauge gives me a "rough" idea of what my a/f ratio is without a wideband/EUGO and what not. But when i am at idle and the gauge sweeps to rich then engine sounds louder but the idle does not increase (if i remember) and when the led's sweep to lean the engine quiets down, the change in sound is a small change but you can tell and feel the difference. now is this normal at idle? I was thinkin that the engine should just stay at a constant sound and not like (lean normal idle sound, but when the leds display rich the engine gets louder) its hard to explain but i think you guys will get the point. So basicially is this normal at idle or could there be a sensor bad? ive also had a cel for about 3 months now but i have not got it checked out because i am not worried about it since the engine runs fine.
Thanks for any help.
