Default 94 accord LX antenna

I have a 94 accord LX...auto tranny...and the power antenna on the back has been giving me some trouble. when I first bought the car it was getting "stuck" going up and down.....cleaned it really well and it seemed to fix the problem...the other day it got stuck, made a clicking noise...and now when i turn the radio on and off...I can hear to antenna motor turning, but the antenna doesnt move with it....I'm guessing that where it connects just popped off but i wanted to see if anyone had any advice as to wether or not I need to buy a new antenna, or just fix it.....if it can just fix it, could someone please describe what I need to do....it wont be a problem getting the "magic nut" off.....i just want to make sure that once I get it off....I look for the right thing....thanx much

I have the same year of Accord. I think your antenna motor is dead now. Mine is. My antenna is stuck about halfway up. It just happens over time. The only way to fix it would be to replace the whole assembly. The antenna and motor should be one unit.

thankx to everyone for responding so quick, im gonna run out a junkyard in va beach and see if I can't grab one off of another car....ya kno, until now i haven't really enjoyed forums all too much, but everyone here seems nice (i gather from reading other posts), and above all else...interesting the same thing I am, HONDA...if anyone has any information on an auto to manual tranny conversion for a 94 accord, please share, i miss my civic (GORDITO) so much, but the accord (GORDI 2) is in SUCH better condition I had to get rid of my first car....the emotional attatchment hasn't worn off yet. I swear their like children!!!

Once again, thanx all...and btw my name is Chris, I think I'll be posting more often given the helpful feedback...who runs out of questions!!??

actually your motor might be fine...

mine recently stopped working...it would make a clicking noise but not go up or down....

I took it apart and found out that the mast itself is connected to this thin plastic cord that actually broke.....

that part is replaceable for about 50 bucks at the dealer....or on ebay

search for antenna mast

i've read mast kits can be found for about 10-15 bucks...try calling the local stereo shops / Google online.
