Seat size comparison: Recaro SPG vs. Bride Zeta II?
Does anyone have experience sitting in both seats?
I sat in a SPG this afternoon, and was wondering if the Zeta II was of equal size or smaller??

the zeta II is tighter than the SPG
btw...bride does not sell the zeta II anymore, theres a newer version called the zeta III which is 10mm wider the the zeta II

just for reference, the seat width of the recaro spg at the base is 395mm. i don't know the width for the brides however.
overall, the spg is pretty snug...i'm 5'4" ~ 140lbs.
hope that helps.

I'm 6'1" (185lbs) and it fits great...now all i need is a bracket to mount the damn thing

correct...zeta 2 is awesome, I'm 130 5'8 waist=31, it's like this seat was made for me. Took me 2 months to track down one zeta 2 last summer and got rapped 1060 for the fiberglass edition with all mounting hardware.
Zeta 3's base is 10mm larger.
I guess it's the fatty american version.

A good affordable seat (as comapred with that carbon/kevlar take get a bank loan or excellent credit card seat ) is the Recaro Pole Position.
It offers slightly lower sides vs. the Bride for easy in-and-out transitions on your daily driver (if be the case). And its la-z-boy wide for use with non-JDM spec 6'+" bodies.
Im 6'2". 195lbs, 34" waist

My only complaint is that the wedge engineering and recaro brackets are not as nice as the Bride mounts. I would actually look for a Bride next time, but with lower sides. My buddies Zeta 3 in his Type R is so high and narrow I can barely get in, let alone twist my leg so that I can actuate the clutch pedal.
Furthermore, since you are 6'4", I hope you do not have a sunroof (being the Type R forum, unlikely) because my Civic with sunroof and Helmet on only allows me about 1/2" clearance. And I have the seat SLAMMED on the brackets. However, in a worst case scenario or race car instance, you can use it sans sliders, which gives you another 1" of additional clearance.

As far as I know there are different size available on the SPG, SR series(those like SR3) etc. And it's according to different countries. Say US/European dealer will have bigger dimension's seats. So maybe it's a good idea to confirm with your local dealer before u actually buy that seat.
Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
There are 2 difference sizes on SPG alone. Do anyone know if I can tell the size from the part# marked on the seats??

SPG is thinner and has shoulder grip. The SPG is lighter as well I beieve. I dunno I'm 5'11" 160 and I fit snug, but comfortable

How about you have the kiddie seat and zeta 3 is the adult seat.

All true. Like I said, the Bride mounting hardware is superior, adn the seat quality is equal. I just cant fit in those BRIDE JDM spec body contours since I'm 6'2" 195lbs. The Pole Position is Super Sized. it is at least 1.5" wider than the Bride pictured for sure. And like I mentioned, the lower sides allow better in-and-otu transitions in a street/daily driver.

yeah probably. my zeta III is a perfect fit for me except i'm 5'10 150lbs so it might be a little tight. maybe look into the zeta III"L" if you're really intorested in a Bride. if you PM me i'll give you the name of someone that can get one for you

good point. if serouse compatition is your goal then this isn't the seat for you.
