Did you reuse the axles seals becuase I think they might have been damaged when you took the axles out.

it's leaking because you probably tore the seal by the driver side axle. check where the leak is comiing, I can guarantee its coming from that seal if you didn't carefully put the axle back in that's whats gonna happen. The seal looks like a regular ring, rubber. Happen to me when i did a clutch install.

Jeez you guys are so quick to make the assumption that he tore a seal. My advice is to make sure that the axles are seated in all the way. You'll have to take the suspension back apart to seat them if so.

hitting it hard without aligning them properly is going to rip the seal, not an assumption but a fact.. it sucks your gonna have to take it all apart i hope you have a pressure gun.. cause taking those parts by hand is a major pain.

Push in till you hear a "click", do not use excessive force such as a hammer.

jesus , theres a time and place for a hammer and seating axles is neither.

some spray lube would've helped them in without the brute force.

I used a little coercion of the forced mass actuator (rubber mallet), works like a charm.

Hammer bad. One hand on the inner joint to make sure it is sitting straight (shaft and the outer joint will have about 2" of lateral movement.) Use that movement like a slide hammer and just tap it in. [Happy Gilmore mode on] Taaaaap it in. Give it the old tap-tap-taperoo. [Happy Gilmore mode off]

Yea the only problem with the hammer method is you can screw up the end of the axle and the nut wont fit on....I learned the hard way. Rubber mallets from now on
