windshield wipers not working
Hey guys,
I just picked up a '93 EX coupe. Its in great shape however the wipers don't work (washer works fine though). So I figure its either the motor, relay, or the switch. Is there any surefire to tell which it is?
Or could this be connected to something else? I checked the fuses and they seem fine. Everything else in the interior works fine to my knowledge.
Thanks,
Zach

this is the way i would do it... cheapest part to most expensive... replace the cheapest parts possible and then whatever works, bingo u fixed ur problem. and as a little bonus you have some extra new parts in your car if the first thing you installed wasnt the broken part.

Throw some parts at it and hope you get lucky huh? That can get real expensive. I prefer to to use a meter to test and narrow down the problem, then replace the affected part.

Bingo. I had my Dad bring home his voltmeter and what not from work and we popped to hood to start checking things out. We found the motor and started tracing wires back until we realized the harness was unplugged. Doh! So we plugged it back up and bam, my wipers worked.
We noticed too that the black plastic under the wipers (not sure about the proper term) was pretty loose. So I'm guessing the PO was doing some work there and just forgot to plug the wiper motor back up.

Free fix, can't beat that.
