O/T: Purchasing a car without a dash. Registration?
I did search and could find what I was looking for. But I am interested in a hatch that is fully gutted except for the SI dash and cluster. My question is because this isnt an SI. Would this cause an issue in the registration process? (i.e., different VIN and incorrect mileage) TIA!

If you buy the car contact CHP and set up a VIN appoinment for inspection.
I had to do this when I bought a different dash after mine was stolen.
