alright i called up my local performance shop and the said it would be about 675 for a 88-91 si tranny. So i decided to stay with the dx tranny in my sedan what kinda clutch kit do i need for this car. And what brand should i buy. This is just for the time being since i don't have the money for the tranny right now.

 

Save yourself the money and get an OEM replacement. Then get an ACT when you upgrade to an Si tranny

 

675 for Si tranny? damn i paid $175 shipped and its smooth as butter.i also got exedy clutch and its A++++ for the money

 

$675... damm. Go to a juckyard u can get one for like 250. I dont think that it is worth it for you to get a racing clutch with a DX tranny. You will be on the freeway goin 75 and only at 2500rpm in 4th gear. Try to put it into 5th you might loose speed, its like driving a 4 speed.The DX on a ZC has no power at all! But will save a lot of gas. Just spend your money on an Si tranny.
