One night on interstate 75 in GA I got my Grand Sport Ragedy up to 147MPH racing this dude in a slammed vr6 Idont know how Ididnt get caught .... I almost crashed merging on to 85n but Im still here.... Does any body have any cool almost near miss stories...... holla back ....GOD is GOOD ALL DA TIME!!!!! hfd..... ps.I had only made 6 payments

 

I didn't even have my liscense and i took my car up to like 120 when my friend called saying that 6 cops were haulin *** in my direction, so i handed the wheel over to my friend who did have his liscense and we took the back way home, but this was like on an empty highway at 1:30 AM. But i'd rather to be clippen some turns fast instead of going really fast in a straight line.

 

maxed mine off the dial on a huge downhill slope once.... i was doing about 190km/h at the very top... about 1 1/2 km further at the very bottom of the hill i was doing around 230-240km/h...(needle off the guage).

 

155 on hiway five for a good 4 minutes (felt like half an hour) racing a 'maro and an rx-7

I was going a good 140mph on good tires in the fast lane on I95 (the fastest I had gone b4 this was 95mph) and I came up on a HUGE line of semi trucks in the middle lane and as I passed the 3rd or 4th truck out darted a car and it must have been goin 90 and I jumped all over my breaks! I must say at that speed everything comes up on ya like crazy!!!!!! And chances of death in a wreck at that speed are in the mid 90's!
But like someone else said I would much rather swing through the turns clippin the rumble strips on some legal roads than do that on the highway again!

 

I've had my 91 RS over 200 lots. Max was 220-225km/h. really stupid on my winter tires. oh ya, and it was on a back road in the country, where I live. A bird hit my windsheild @ 200 and it's cracked all the way across now.

Street racing is bad enough even tho I do it sometimes but top speed on the street is just stupid.

 

The day after I got my RS, I got it to just under 130 mph, I don't think it will go much higher then that though. Oh, I think I was at about 6500 rpm. I did it on a long strait back road.

i travelled from the bay area to los angeles going about 140 mph the entire way.

i never dropped below 110 once i got on highway 5

 

Golden BC to Calgary Alberta on the TransCanada Highway (about 250km) 160-190km/h the whole way. No cops. lotsa luck. and I accidentally had my rear wiper up in the air.

 

140. Very early morning, very clear, no traffic...getting walked by a supercharged SI.

Going that fast is not something I really like doing anymore. My motor can handle it, my suspension can handle it, my tires can handle it, my brakes are up to it...but something about circumstances that are uncontrollable by me, at 140mph...I don't think I can handle that.

 

Save the speed for the track. Street racing is stupid. You guys are gonna get somebody killed. I have kids and I don't need your kind putting them in danger.

 

I maxed out at 130. I hit the rev limiter. I thought that I could hit at least 140. But when it hit 130, it just stayed there and couldn't go any higher.

 

150 racing a fox body...to bad he redlined at 130, i just kept going for kicks.

 

One time I had my LS on a large open highway, and to my surpise it KEPT going, I passed 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180... all the way to 190.

--------Than I woke up.

 

My speedometer was stuck at 150 one night on 75 North in Dallas racing a Miata(fast) at 7500 RPMs in 5th.
