You can fiberglass the interior. Or you can paint them. I say, leave them the way they are.

Here's some pictures I've collected of interior stuff. If these are your images and you want me to take them off let me know. Hope this helps

First off, theres a variety of gauge clusters that people swap in:

early integra cluster:

94+ integra cluster: (i believe this one is an ITR cluster)

theres tons of stuff you can do for custom console fabrication if you have the time and the materials:

and you can also swap in other seats, even though many (including myself) will say that the crx si seats are some of the best out there. this guy put s2000 seats in his crx.

but dont ask me how to do any of these, because I havent done any of them. Theres lots of writeups on these things if you search. Hope that gives you a few ideas.

I have installed a back seat into my old 89 HF. It was from a 2000 Eclipse GT. However, the back seats were offered in years 88-91 too. We didn't get that option here in the States. No, I am not saying that we are the only ones that didn't get the back seat.

I wouldnt install a backseat into my crx. but if for some reason I did, I wouldnt put anyone back there that I cared about. I dont really trust the back of a crx. If you've seen pictures of crx's that have been hit from the rear you'd know what i mean.

Not to jack the thread but I was wondering which seats have the best lateral support? The CRX Si seats look and feel VERY good, but I now have a 320mm steering wheel thats pretty heavy (in turning, not weight) and it pulls me all over in turns.

I have a 4pt harness and tightening it all the way down is the only was to stop myself from sliding left and right in the seat but the seat itself needs to do this, not the harness. In the future I'm definately going with a Sparco seat for the driver's side, but any OEM seats that are better would be good for now.

To stay on thread topic, the CRX interior is very nice stock... just keep it that way for a while and you will realize this. Its got the angled console, doors that go flush into the dash, nice color combo, etc. I'd recommend a JDM rear seat if you want the ultimate flush look. I have a rollbar and the seat is useless enough without that, but damn it looks good.

Maybe go with the usual steering wheel and shift **** change. Maybe a cluster swap. Keep it simple and it'll look great. Just as a side note though... good OEM interior parts aren't cheap. 88 door panels (needed to fit the rollbar) ran about $100+, rear seat $250-400 after all needed parts, UKDM leather seats $500 and up. And yes... there are exceptions if you get a hookup or a seller that doesn't know what they have, but these are prices I've seen. Good luck, and build the car how you want it. Although its not accurate, I like to think of my interior as a dumbed down NSX interior I wouldn't change an NSX's interior and I won't change mine either!
