Default arp studs, giving them that extra turn...good or bad

i dont know, ive just never been confortable knowing the studs holding by block together are hand tight. i put the main studs in, then did the double nut thing and gave each stud about 1/2 to 3/4 extra turn.

just wondering if others did this and how everyone feels about it.

it's been my experience that the studs tend to back out if you do not give them a little torque..

10 lbs of torque won't hurt anything. don't do any more however

Just got through assembling my bottem end useing AEBS head and main stunds. The paper work that came with the studs said "double nut method and torque to 10ftlbs". Thats straight off the sheet. So thats what I did.
