i lost my IAC valve on the back on my IM. is there a way to get around buying another one? can i just plug the hole somehow and just make a loop of the two hoses?

You should be able to drive the car with just looping or plugging the holes, but it's not recommended. You'll probably throw a code or two and the car will drive like ****.
