car wont go in gear anymore now
im posting for a friend and im a rotary guy so i dunno much about teggys. but tonight my friend was driving and the car desides not to go into gear..pull over (lucky we were right infront of a friends house). now the car will start and run fine but when he tries to put it in grear and let out the clutch nothing. we just hear a whinning noise from the below the engine when he lets out the clutch but thats it.
how is the pedal pressure? does the clutch pedal come all the way back up or does it stick or sag?
If your clutch pedal is non-responsive or dead, then it might be the hydro slave cylinder. Get down there and run your finger along the firewall and upper portion of clutch pedal arm.....if there is black fluid....you are leaking and you need to replace the hydro clutch slave cylinder..........before you really burn out your clutch.
Also try the search feature at the top of the page; things like this have been covered before.
