dx tranny on ex engine?

Default dx tranny on ex engine?

Can a 5 spd 90 dx tranny fit on my y8. I hope so b/c my auto tranny is going out already. any help is appreciated

Its cable...it can fit but not without extensive modification

so i guess it's better for me to get a hydro tranny then. What will have to be modified for a cable tranny.

well what car do u got?
ive put a cable tranny ona y8 and d16's
i like hydro better.
im selling a y8 5 speed tranny grinds 3rd. for 80 bucks

just pick up a cheap y8 tranny. Your car will be much faster. I drove my friend's dx hatchback the other day with a d16y7 and the long geared hatchback dx tranny and that thing would drop way out of the power band everytime i shifted. Also don't forget the low *** final drive .

man , my cx tranny is horrible on my mini me, its pulls but when i shift man that sucks.

yeap same thing here... from 7200 all the way down to 3500, too bad my tranny went out tonight, now its time for the one that is supposed to be on there...

well, if youve gat an auto, your already going to need the stuff to to put the manual in there, and speaking from experience, the cable trannys are alot easier to drop in than the hydro. with hydro you have to run the lines and mount the slve cylinder, with cable its just a.... cable. pluse cable tranny are lot cheaper to vome by than hydro. thats my 2 cents
