It's available serarately, but only from the dealer, as far as I know. Bummer huh? What's $10 compared to the peace of mind of having everything lit up that's supposed to be on your dash. Nothing, I say!

u can order the bulbs pretty much only through the dealer. They will probably have to special order them. I've tried numerous autoparts store and online.

part # for 009 is 35851-SM4-003 BULB, NEO-WEDGE. (www.acuraparts247.com) .

I'm pretty sure you can get the bulb from both acura and honda dealers.

yup, i've had that blow on me before
if the bulb blows, the rear defogger won't work
I just went to my local dealer, and bought a new one

You need togo to your local dealer. I think it's like 1.95 with tax.

Get me some at $1.95.
I paid like $6.00 WITH frequent buyer discount.
Be careful though, there are a few different ones, and the part numbers in the dealer book were the wrong ones for my switch.
I had to try 3 or 4 different ones before I got the right one.
And I never heard of the defroster not working, if ONLY the illumination bulb burns out. Strange.
Good luck.
The switch was a PITA to remove from the dash.

Definitely go to the dealer. Most of the little stupid bulbs in the car are all the same, so the dealer has lots of stock for these things just lying around.

I had to get a few myself, and they alway had them in stock, plus they were cheap.

If it were me, I'd just go find a local junkyard and dig one out.

wasn't too bad. although i wouldn't want to take it out again. right now the switch is sitting on my desk at home, until i get the replacement bulb.
