without the 5th point there is nothing to keep from from sliding out from the belts..
eyebolts can be attached to the rear seatbelt mounts...or you can also buy buckle so you can attach the shoulder straps to the roll cage instead..

If you actually didn't want to 'skimp on safety equipment,' you would have bought a normal, cheaper 5-point harness rather than an overpriced green piece of 4-point bling.

Nahh, you should worry about the 5th point before you install anything.

This'll be interesting. I wonder if he'll resort to using zerosearch before anyone actually tells him what to do...

dude jesus whats so bad about helping someone, its not really a helpful forum when everyone just critizies when i asked a simple question, which is, where can i mount the 4 point harnesses. Obviously a 5pt is much more safer than a 4pt, i know this now, but can we actually relate to my real problem which is where do i mount them at?

That puts the shoulder belts at a pretty severe angle, which is very bad for your spinal column. Why do you not just wrap the shoulder belts around the HARNESS BAR in your roll cage?
Also, a properly installed harness isn't bolted to the seat rail on the right side, but rather drilled through the tunnel in the middle and attached with anchor bolts and a re-enforcement plate.

And you think we're the reason this forum isn't helpful.
You don't want to skimp on safety, but are going to run a 4-pt UNSAFE harness.
Very strange.

if you want the "source" for all of these specifications, go here:
http://www.fia.com/sport/Regul....html
then right-click-save-as the first .exe file "FIA Standard for Competition Seats (FIA standard 8855-1999) - document update: 14.02.2003"
this links to the FIA website and i'm sure that simpson along with other manufacturers follow their guidelines.
*note, go to the english section at the 2nd half of the document, unless you read french.*
