I figured this is the best place to post this. I found a b18c1 at a wrecking yard in p-town out of a 95 gsr. The car looks like it ran off the road and bottomed out over some rough field or something. I looked at the motor and there was enough torsion on the motor from dragging the oil pan across the ground to break the transmission mount OUT of the casing and also snap the lower left front mount in half . The wreck punched a hole in the oil pan. The guys asking $2500 but i'm sure he'll drop below $2000?
I'm looking for any suggestions and ideas on what it's worth, if its even worth pcking up, etc. I passed on the tranny and the guy said it comp 180 across the board.

aslong as the mounting holes for the mount to the motor isnt messed up.. cuz youd have to get that welded and retapped

 

Hrmmm.... $2000 for a gsr long block, no tranny whatsoever ?

That's alot of $$... plus... the oil pan had a hole ? Doesn't that mean the oil leaked out during the accident ? You don't really know what condition the bearings/crank are in and what dirt/rocks may have jumped in.

I'd pass on it unless he can bring the price down... say to $1200 or less...
