ok my friend has a 98 dx hatch. i helped him put a y8 head on so he would have a lil more power with vtec and so on. well the y7 block didnt come with a knock sensor. can anyone tell me where the knock sensor would be located? im thinking right ontop to the left side of the oil filter but thats a guess. any help would be apprecaited,thanks

 

what ecu are you running? i think if you have a p28 you dont need to use the knock sensor

you would be correct

 

they are usually right under the intake 2 runner, or between 2 and 3

 

it is under the intake manifold, located behind the #2 piston
