from what i have read...and i would research this yourself both routes kinda suck in the aspect that there is no "right" way to go. a testpipe will be loud as (fill in your friends moms name) after you banged the hell out of her last night. but a high flow cat will need to be replaced in 2-3 years. its a toss up...personally i bought a smsp modified high flow cat for my dc jdm 4-1(which is still on back order from DC) its up to you really...test pipe is loud but cheaper

My exhaust seem'd pretty darn loud with my stock cat. I have a custom made 2.5 in. exhaust but was running a stock header and cat, seem'd loud... But I guess the test pipe route would be even louder.........

What is a link for this smsp? I always here about it but never have seen the site or any products...

Sounds like a winning set-up

I haven't quiet gotten that far but I will. Is you header on back order? Mine just got here 2 days ago and I had been waiting for about a 1- 1 1/2 mon. I was pissed. oh, well.

I plan on getting my damn front lip and oem body kit on first before anything else. Then I will decide on what other options there are for me.

Sounds like a nice set-up hope you get the header soon though..

If you're running really rich/untuned ... it's just a matter of time with ANY catalytic converter. IMHO Ed
