i just have the gsr pipe and box with the stock cone filter, no resonator box, is that good for the LS engine or the stock LS intake is a way better choice to go? im looking to maximize low end power from HP to Torque. i have stock engine, stock header and cat and after the cat its 2.25 piping with a sebring tuning muffler/coffee can.

 

The gsr intake wont fit and it wouldnt do any good if it did. The type R is supposedly larger or something, but basically you just need to remove your stock resonator...or buy a CAI.

 

I don't think that would help at all to be honest/

really? cuz it did fit, i got it from my friends 4 door gsr. and the box i think is better since i can use a cone filter instead of a regular drop in, what i do is take the bottom part of the box out, so the filter has more air to suck and leave the top cover for cops to see that its stock and use it as a heat shield. the filter sounds alot better without the bottom half of the box and without the resonator, and if its the same thats fine with me, since i will now pass smog and visuals with cops in so cal.

With the way cops have been lately around here, no you wont, sorry.

The ref wanted to fail me because the PVC hose was not OEM

 

it says honda on the damn intake box man, aslong as they register my plates as LS and dont see any sign of VTEC on the valve cover i think that should be fine, lucky for me i didnt put a vtec inside sticker on the airbox

I hear ya, maybe it was just a bitch cop that I got but they were looking for any reason to send me to the ref. muffler, intake, STRUT BAR! and believe it or not they even questioned my Spoon resevoir covers

 

my friend had a bone stock prelude type s, got pulled over and a blonde cop was yelling at him "whats this? vtec? what is this vtec?" "is this funny gas?" hahaha

what next did he say varible valve timing and lift elictronic control then get cuffed??
