Default RSX-S and babies...

I own a stock 03 type S and my girl is 2 months pregnant. I am concerned about how accesible the back seat is since i will be hauling my little one around from time to time. I would appreciate any input on the backseat/baby seats and how easy/hard it may be.

Imperical evidence that the RSX = "The mate-finder"

Uh, congratulations. Some baby stores might let you try out a display model.

lol, you guys are comedians. No the baby was not conceived in the DC5 but that would make a great story. I have never been in the back seat of the car and I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience.

Thanks for the input

We toted around our first kid in a 99 Civic Coupe for a a few years. It sucks. No way around it. Get an SUV. But we did it, I'm sure it'll work for you. You may have to move your seat forward a bit. You'll get used to it. In the Si the tray mount car seats bairly fit. Different car seats have different depth though. Test them out.

Both Recaro and Sparco make baby seats ; )
Seriously though...I was worried about the same thing...Thankfully I'm not a dad yet, but When I bought the S...We also bought my wife an Accord....just a consideration...keep your car, it makes you happy.

Having the carseat in the back seat of the rsx sucks A$$, it's hard to get back there and it's hard to get the baby out got to be really slow, or you'll hit the babies head on the top of the door opening. Also seats most likely will have to move forward just a bit... oh another pain is getting back there to give your kid something while the baby is crying while the car is moving....of the recaro child seats...they have them at babies r us if you want to see how they look like

eh, in all honesty, the RSX would not be my choice for having a child in it. It's built for the drivers safety in mind. I know many people on ClubRSX have crashed their type-s and walked away, but I'd be really worried about a little one.

In my personal opinion, I'd trade it in for a TSX or something with some more safety features. Besides, lots of race teams are dropping the RSX for the TSX platform anyway.

Thay are dropping the RSX due to the suspension setup, not safety.

My child is only 2 1/2 months old but we have a seat with a lock in base and it has been fine, takes less then 10 seconds to get him with this base, now obviosuly i have no experiance with old children (yet)
